Guess I raised a pretty smart boy, huh? If you don’t already have a plan for your project, you could just call it a sampler, or… if it is made of wool, you could felt it and sew it into a bag.
This is one of the things that I really appreciate about Preston! Yes, Kathy, you did raise a very smart boy!
I would really like to learn to knit wool socks. An aquaintance of mine used to make them and I bought several pairs from her one year for myself and for Christmas presents. I have long since worn them out and she got married and dropped off the face of the earth. But, what I’m afraid of, having a similar experience with crochet, is that my sock will look just like DeAnna’s…..um……perfect thing.
I really want to make socks also, but knitters keep telling me that it’s an advanced sort of a project and I should stick with scarves for a while. I think for my next challenge, after a more successful go at something nice and square, will be one of these wildlife rescue nests. I want to do something round.
